Gerardo Lopez is from Colombia and is a Ph.D. student in the Research and Evaluation Methodology (REM) program at the University of Florida College of Education. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Cartagena-Colombia and a master’s degree in Mathematics Statistics from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. Gerardo has been involved in different teaching experiences in the areas of mathematics and statistics at the middle, high school, and undergraduate educational levels, and he would like to pursue a career as a university professor or researcher in the educational service industry. Gerardo has worked as a research assistant in the REM program with faculty members on projects such as the Evaluation of the Early Childhood Music Education Incentive Pilot Program 2022-2023 in the state of Florida. Gerardo will work as a data analyst at the UF Office of Global Learning by supporting data gathering and survey administration analysis. Also, he will work with faculty members across the UF campus who collaborate with the UF Office of Global Learning. In his free time, Gerardo enjoys outdoor activities and watching movies with his family.
