Jess Mercier serves as the Assistant Director of Outreach & Marketing for UF Study Abroad. She has a B.S. in Sociology & Political Science from the College of Charleston (SC) and an M.A. in Student Affairs Administration from Ball State University (IN). Jess started at the UF International Center in 2018.
Jess organizes UF's Study Abroad Fairs; hosts outreach events in collaboration with various partners; supervises the Study Abroad Peer Advisors; manages the UF Study Abroad social media; and creates the unit's marketing materials.
While in college, Jess studied abroad with Semester at Sea. Through this program and various other travel experiences (both personal and professional), she has visited over 20 countries throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, going to concerts, and thrifting for her vintage resale business.
