Nicole Fuls is the Assistant Director of Faculty Engagement within Study Abroad Services at the University of Florida (UF). With an MA degree in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture from Marquette University and a BA in International Studies, Spanish, and Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Nicole brings a deep understanding of language, culture, and global perspectives to her role.
At the University of Florida International Center, Nicole oversees the development and implementation of innovative study abroad programs across the Americas and Asia, ensuring they meet or exceed industry best practices. She collaborates closely with faculty, international partners, and campus units to vet program providers, draft service agreements, and facilitate seamless program development. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Nicole is committed to enhancing the international education experience for UF students through comprehensive pre-departure training, advising on program selection, and organizing impactful intercultural learning opportunities. She also administers the annual Study Abroad Leadership Program, equipping faculty with essential skills for successful study abroad programming and implementation.
With a Professional Certification in Education Abroad, Nicole demonstrates her dedication to advancing the field of international education. She is a frequent representative of UF Study Abroad Services at conferences and on committees, where she contributes her insights on program development, student engagement, and global learning outcomes. In 2024, Nicole was awarded the Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Award and traveled to India with the goal of reigniting outbound mobility to the country.
Through her multidimensional role, Nicole remains committed to promoting global citizenship and facilitating transformative educational experiences that prepare UF students to thrive in an interconnected world.
