Seth is a dedicated and experienced higher education professional with a strong focus on expanding access to education and a commitment to using data to drive organizational goals. His approach emphasizes reciprocal engagement, allowing him to develop his team while also learning from their diverse perspectives and experiences.
Seth joins us from Loyola Marymount University (LMU), where he served as the Interim Director of Study Abroad. At LMU, he demonstrated exceptional leadership and management skills, overseeing all study abroad, affiliate, and exchange programs. His responsibilities included supervising professional staff, managing enrollment processes, and developing strategic management and risk policies. Notably, Seth facilitated the creation of new processes for faculty to teach abroad and implemented a comprehensive program evaluation system in collaboration with faculty.
Before his role at LMU, Seth spent nearly a decade at NC State University, where he progressed from Assistant Director to Associate Director of the Study Abroad Office. There, he managed the office's finances, strategic planning, and scholarship administration, significantly growing the scholarship funding from approximately $100,000 to over $1,000,000 annually. His expertise in Terra Dotta administration and incident response has been instrumental in ensuring seamless study-abroad experiences for students.
In his new role, Seth will evaluate policies and procedures for study abroad and exchange programs in collaboration with the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, UF Offices of General Counsel, Procurement, Research Integrity, Security, & Compliance, and others. He will also engage and integrate programming with all UFIC units to identify opportunities for synergy and create additional opportunities for faculty from around campus to engage with Study Abroad.
