The University of Florida International Center is pleased to announce the institutionalization of UF’s highly successful 2014-19 Quality Enhancement Plan, “Learning without Borders” in the form of the new Office of Global Learning (OGL)!
The new OGL will continue core responsibility for the QEP’s signature International Scholars Program, as well as the Peace Corps Prep program. It will also build on the QEP’s goal of comprehensive campus internationalization, via a variety of ongoing and new programs to support faculty and staff professional development and training in the field of Global Learning. Paloma Rodriguez will serve as OGL director.
International Scholars Program
Through a combination of international coursework, international experience, language learning and co-curricular activities, this program allows students to structure and highlight a global learning dimension to their undergraduate experience.
Global Learning Institute
A new cohort-based semester long program will provide faculty with relevant tools, pedagogies, and techniques to globalize their on-campus courses.
Virtual Exchange Training
A program that assists faculty to design and incorporate online communication activities and to connect with students and faculty abroad, developing and enhancing intercultural competence skills.
Conference Travel Funding
An initiative to improve the quality and diversity of international opportunities for UF students by investing in the professional development of the faculty and staff who teach and serve them.
