Congratulations to Dr. Anthony Auletta for receiving the NACTA Global Engagement Early Career Award!
Dr. Auletta, Lecturer and Academic Advisor in the Entomology and Nematology Department, received this award from NACTA, the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture, last month at the annual conference held in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Dr. Auletta is a past participant of the Global Learning Institute, a professional development program offered through the Office of Global Learning and designed to equip faculty with the necessary strategies to integrate internationalization in their courses. Since 2020, Dr. Auletta has internationalized the course ENY 2890: Insect Research & Scientific Engagement by requiring students to interview an international researcher about one of his or her publications and research experiences. Interviewees have been located all over the world, including in Brazil, Israel, Ghana, Italy, Chile, and South Africa, just to name a few.
