The highly successful "UF in Paris (Readdressing the Masterpieces of Paris)", a study abroad program led by Professor Richard Heipp of the School of Art + Art History culminated in an exhibit at a local art gallery to showcase the work they did while participating in the program. Recontextualizing the Masterpieces of Paris Exhibition took place at WARPHaus Gallery on Friday, August 30th.
The show included a variety of media and approaches including classical drawing, photography, painting, collage, assemblage, and sculpture. For the class “Readdressing the Masterpieces of Paris,” students conducted research that included classical drawing from sculptures in Paris’s museums as well as conducting research, collecting material and inspiration to complete projects in their studios following the concentrated 7-day class experience in Paris.
