The International Student Council (ISC) was formed to provide a direct line for listening to concerns and sharing ideas for improving the international student experience at the University of Florida. Students from all over the world representing diverse backgrounds and degree programs make up the council. It met five times in the past academic year and provided valuable input and suggestions to implement in future semesters for the benefit of all international students at UF.
Some of the accomplishments this past year were solidifying the council's purpose statement, brainstorming subject areas to be included in pre-arrival information sessions for graduate and undergraduate international students, and creating systems for recruiting and selecting future cohorts. UFIC and the ISC look forward to welcoming nine new members to the council this fall!
We thank our current members of the council for their willingness to engage and support their fellow students.
