The UF International Center and Dean Marta L. Wayne recently hosted an unforgettable reception to welcome our newest cohort of international students, and it was a vibrant celebration of Gator spirit and global community!

Held in the beautifully decorated Reitz Union Grand Ballroom, the event brought together students from all corners of the world for a memorable evening filled with food, friends, and fun. Attendees were treated to a delicious spread of international cuisine, symbolizing the diverse backgrounds and cultures represented at UF.

UF President Kent Fuchs joined the festivities, warmly welcoming students to campus and sharing inspiring words about the value of diversity in higher education. He graciously posed for photos with students, who were thrilled to have the chance to meet him and feel his support firsthand.

Adding to the Gator spirit, our beloved mascots Albert and Alberta were in full force, mingling with guests and posing for selfies that sparked laughter and excitement. Their presence truly highlighted the Gator pride that unites all of us, no matter where we come from.

This reception was more than just a meet-and-greet—it was a testament to UF’s commitment to making our international students feel at home. The event was filled with conversations, laughter, and new friendships as students connected with peers and members of the UF community.

We are thrilled to welcome these exceptional students to the Gator family and look forward to seeing the unique contributions they will make during their time at UF!
