On March 31st, the Global Music® Awards announced their winners highlighting the some of the world's top albums, musicians, composers, and producers through an international peer reviewed process. Thaddaeus Bourne, D.M.A. (Visiting Professor of Voice) received the Outstanding Achievement Award for the Vocalist category. Bourne also earned the Outstanding Achievement Award for Christmas Music for the single, "I Surrender All-O Come All Ye Faithful-Silent Night", which the arrangement was world-premiered at the 2022 Sounds of the Season at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. This award is shared with Derris Lee (Graduate Assistant of Music Business & Entrepreneurship) and José Valentino Ruiz, Ph.D D.Min.(Program Coordinator of Music Business & Entrepreneurship) making this Lee's 6th Global Music® Award victory and Ruiz's 11th.
