Dr. Karen Reed, US Fulbright Specialist to Hanoi, Vietnam with Ms. Kate Bartlett
During her US Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam visit, Dr. Karen Reed spent time with and Kate Bartlett, Cultural Affairs Officer at the
US Embassy in Hanoi (Vietnam). Bartlett is a Gator Grad '07 from the UF College of Journalism.
"The US Embassy has a room with pennants of various US universities creating a ceiling border and includedI noticed there was not one for the University of Florida! My husband brought one with him from the US and we joined Ms. Bartlett for lunch where I presented it to her. The Gator Nation is truly everywhere!" Dr. Reed mentioned.
Dr. Reed is currently serving on a US Fulbright Specialist roster. Unlike the US Fulbright Scholar Program, which she was fortunate to do in 2013-2014, the Specialist must seek out a project designed by an international university for which they are a good match or collaborate with the university in designing a project. She is currently living and working in Hanoi as a visiting professor, working with the faculty members and the students in preparing to take the NCLEX exam.
