2024 Mauer Ethics Best Paper Award

At the 2024 Academy of Legal Studies in Business Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., Professor DiMatteo was honored with the Mauer Ethics Best Paper Award for his paper, “Lawyering and the Governance of Artificial Intelligence” (co-authored with Professor de Ezalde of IE Madrid University). The paper, which examines the role of legal professionals in shaping the governance of AI technologies, was lauded for its depth, timely relevance, and ethical considerations.

Publication Acceptance in the Tulane Journal of International & Comparative Law

In addition to his recent presentations and accolades, Professor DiMatteo’s scholarly work continues to gain recognition in the academic community. His co-authored article, “Role of Effort in Contract Performance: A Comparative Analysis,”written with M. Infantino (University of Trieste), J. Wang (Quanzhou University), and Sergio Long (Pontifical University Catholic of Peru), has been accepted for publication in the Tulane Journal of International & Comparative Law in Spring 2025. The article provides a comparative analysis of how various legal systems treat the role of effort in contract performance, contributing valuable insights to both contract law theory and international legal scholarship.
