On Friday, February 5, 2021, the IDEA Task Force, along with the UF International Center and the UF Libraries, hosted a webinar to discuss the history of race at the University of Florida through images from the UF Archives Photograph Collection.
The webinar was presented by Carl Van Ness and moderated by Twanna Hodge. Van Ness is a UF Historian, Florida Political Papers archivist in the Department of Special and Area Studies Collections in the George A. Smathers libraries. He has served as the university's official historian since 2006 and had previously served as the university's archivist from 1997 to 2003. Twanna Hodge is the UF Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Librarian.
