"Staying Cyber Secure While Studying Abroad" was released as a successful collaboration between UF Information Technology and UFIC Study Abroad Services.
The two departments teamed up to provide some basic tips on how to stay cyber-safe while studying or interning abroad.
One of the most important advice is to not connect to public Wi-Fi, if possible. Although public Wi-Fi is convenient to use, it is not secure. According to Forbes, four in 10 people have had their private information compromised while using public Wi-Fi.
