The Forum on Education Abroad, a federally recognized Standards Development
Organization for the field of Education Abroad, announced this week that:
Tara Mathien and her colleague’s submission, EDG 4910: Supporting Children and Families in Education, EDG 4910: Service Learning: Study Abroad,
and
Pingchien Neo and her colleague’s submission, EGN 4932/IDS 4956 Technological Applications for Disability Access, UF in London Technological Applications for Disability Access,
have been selected as a finalist for this year’s Award for Excellence in Education Abroad Curriculum Design.
All complete nomination packages were reviewed by a group of peers across the field of education abroad. To be selected as a finalist for this year’s award is an indication that Mathien’s and Neo’s work embodies high-quality, academically sound and culturally relevant instructional design, which aligns with The Forum’s Standards of Good Practice, the spirit of The Forum’s Code of Ethics and embodies the principles of high impact educational practices.
