The UF in Pavia Engineering and Arts in Italy program has started and will run through August 8, 2021. The group of ten students from the University of Florida who arrived in Pavia are attending an Intensive program in Physics organized by the University of Pavia with the Globec Center, the Alma Mater Ticinensis Foundation and Learn International. Students will reside in Palazzo Vistarino, the seat of the international courses that the Foundation co-organizes and manages with the University.
The Intensive Program in Physics is the first international residential program to be launched by the University after the shutdown imposed by the pandemic. And it is also the first course that American students will follow in person: since their enrollment at the university, in fact, they have always followed only online courses. The one in Pavia is also one of the very few summer programs started by the University of Florida.
Engineering students of the University of Florida for eight weeks - from June 14 to August 8 - will attend Physics classes and laboratories - with professors Rebuzzi, Andreani, Marabelli, and Liscidini - at the Pavia Physics Department "A.Volta", as well as Engineering art lessons at Palazzo Vistarino with their professor Joel Parker (he/him), and then visits to the city monuments, museums and scientific structures of the University and campus, the Lena and the Cnao. And they will not miss the opportunity to visit and study the art cities of our country. A dip in beauty and culture.
