The inaugural University of Florida Career Influencer Awards organized by the UF Career Connections Center celebrated the collaboration and innovation of UF partners who have had an exceptional impact on career development and career engagements during the 2018 – 2019 year. Paloma Rodriguez, Director of UFIC's Office of Global Learning was nominated for her commitment to student success. Here is an excerpt from Paloma’s nomination:
“While there are many tangible anecdotes that support Paloma’s focus on career and professional development of students, it is probably her passion that I believe makes her most worthy of this award. In talking to Paloma, her creativity and motivation to bring the message of the importance of this focus to students are where she truly lights up. Paloma sees no boundaries for the possibilities of implementing career development into the UF curriculum.”
Paloma was recognized as a nominee during the annual Career Engagement Summit held recently on July 19th where approximately 60 employer representatives were able to learn of their significant contributions to our campus. During the recognition ceremony, all nominees received a Career Connections Center gold gator pin and certificate. Additionally, throughout the year they will also receive recognition on the career center digital screens, career center website, and career center social media.
We are very of proud Paloma's career development support for UF students. Congratulations!
