Dr. Kung is the Director for the Office for Global Research Engagement and an Assistant Scholar, having joined the International Center in February 2023. A triple alumnus of the University of Florida, he previously served as Director of Global Education and Program Director for the Sustainable Design Master's program at UF's College of Design, Construction and Planning. His research spans international education, cultural studies, educational technology, and sustainability, enriched by extensive experience in Asia, Europe, and the MENA region. Dr. Kung recently completed a Fulbright IEA in Taiwan, leads a study abroad on sustainability in Greece, and is an affiliate faculty member with the Florida Institute for Built Environment Resilience (College of DCP). His scholarly contributions include publications and presentations across North America and Asia, and he serves as a guest reviewer for multiple international journals as well as federal agencies such as the National Science Foundation.
