The University of Florida hosts over 6,000 international students, with India being one of the top contributing countries to the student population, reflecting the university's commitment to global diversity and multicultural representation. 

The University of Florida International Center (UFIC) recognizes Diwali (also known as Festival of Lights) as India's biggest and most important holiday of the year and invites campus audiences to celebrate and learn the significance of Diwali holiday.

UFIC is honored to be recognized for this activity which promotes international education on campus.

The University of Florida last week won a 2024 International Impact Award for Global Teaching & Learning from the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU).
