Wayne, Dean of the International Center and Associate Provost, has been selected by the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) as a 2024-2025 Presidential Fellow, along with four international education leaders at other higher education institutions.

At the beginning of July, Dr. Misti Sharp's virtual exchange (VE) partner Dr. Marija Cerjak visited the UF campus, and both faculty met with Carrie Martins, Coordinator of Faculty Development Initiatives in the Office of Global Learning, to discuss how to expand on their existing VE collaboration. When Mexican multimedia artist Eduardo Abaroa arrives on campus for the first time Aug. 2, the first thing he’s doing is paperwork. Lots of it.

A Latin American artist/writer residency program at UF will pay for his housing, his salary for a semester, his living expenses and his plane ticket to fly him from Mexico to the U.S.
